The Slim Man and Chase Huna Rat Pack Duo was an idea that all started at a birthday party. We got invited to perform at a friend's birthday party last year. She wanted the music to be a blend of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, and tons of other hits from the big band swing era. As a present to her, we went into the studio to record one of her favorite songs, "You Don't Know Me" by Cindy Walker. We recorded the song, pressed it on a CD, and presented it to her at the birthday party.
Afterwards, we had the bright idea to turn this into a show--performing the greatest hits, telling stories from the Rat Pack era, and creating incredible moments on stage. And the show took off!
The music sounded so good, we decided to go back into the studio and record some of our favorite songs! We chose our Top Five 5 tunes, stripped them down and built them back up again. We created some GREAT arrangements.
We decided to name the CD "Pennies from Heaven." We know you're gonna love it!
